To build on the revival of Ballyfin AC and the renewed enthusiasm for athletics in the area, a race day was organised to create a local event for the community and create a focal point around the club and in turn promote the club’s endeavours. The Deadman’s Dash was born, named after the event base, The Deadman’s Inn, a public house and and a focal point for what is a rural community. Across the board promotional material was created, everything from posters, flyers, signage, t-shirts, medals and Social Media updates. The event has become a big success and everyone looks forward to it every year.
