Ballyfin AC is an athletics club based in Co Laois and in 2012 they underwent a revival with the setting up of a new Junior section to cater for the growing interest in running in the area.

Part of this revival included the creation of a new crest for the club.

Remaining loyal to an old design which was based around a deer, an animal synonymous with the area and the perfect symbol for the rugged running environment at the foot of the Slieve Bloom mountains, a fresh modern deer symbol was developed and incorporated into a traditional crest shape.
