Established in 2013 by Mike McCarthy, Creactive Studios is a multi-disciplinary creative agency, specialising in brand identity, graphic design, website design and illustration. Situated at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains in Mountmellick, Co Laois, we bring a passion for creative thinking and problem solving to every project backed up with over 25 years experience in the creative sector. We are here to help you SEE what you MEAN.

About Mike McCarthy
Creative Director and Founder
Since winning an art competition on Irish television as a teenager, it meant that a life of art and design beckoned and now, over 25 years later, Mike has a proven track record in the fields of graphic design and illustration.
After starting his career in Ireland, Mike moved to London where he worked in graphic design and advertising in the television, entertainment and music industry sectors. On returning home to Ireland he moved to Dublin and after a few years working freelance on various graphic design projects and producing illustrations for national publications, Mike set up his own company specialising in sports-related design where he developed and produced publications for the GAA, The Irish Times and The Independent.
He has produced editorial illustration work for The Irish Times and The Sunday Business Post and numerous other publications throughout Ireland as well as illustrating various childrens’ books. When not working he can be found running the roads and cross-country trails with his athletics club Ballyfin AC or planning the next trip to his hometown in West Cork.
