Note-taking app Keep keeps on giving!

Are you one of those note-taking app users who likes to bang out a letter or get on top of that troublesome paragraph in your spare time only to find it is a struggle to get your text from mobile to desktop. Well the Google Keep app could be the answer.

More than two years after launching the app on Android, the company has finally brought its note-taking app to iOS, that’s iPhone and iPad to you and me. If you have a Google account and use Chrome as your browser, and even better if you have your Google+ profile set up you can have the Google Keep app set up on desktop as well as your mobile, with both synced up.

Though not as full-featured as some competitor note-taking apps, Google’s free app offers much more than Apple’s new Notes app with it’s simplicity and ease of use winning hands down.

What we love about it – here are a few plus points;

  • Keep allows you to arrange your notes into a sticky-note-like interface with big easy to read text
  • Add colour to and tag your notes into easy to find categories which are accessible on the left hand side pop-out bar
  • You can attach reminders to notes based on time or the specific location at which you want to receive them.
  • Recorded voice notes are automatically converted to text allowing you to dictate on the go and come back and edit the text later. It also attaches the original voice recording to the note so you can play it back and hear yourself. Just hit the mic icon and start. Simples!
  • Attached photos and links to notes with ease.
  • Share notes with people you know so others can collaborate with you
  • Notes are also synced with your Google account so you can access them across devices.

… and all of this on a free app, how cool is that.

As Travis Bickle once said “One of these days I gotta get myself organizized”, well now you can!
I recommend that you give it a go, you wont go back!
